The Eionet root certificate is not preinstalled in the webbrowsers.
The digital signature on this message is invalid because there are problems with the certificate accompanying this message.
Then you can do one of two things: 1) explicitly trust the certificate, or 2) download and install the Eionet root certificate.
Click on the
Eionet root certificate image,
and you will be asked to open or save it.
Choose open. It is not software, it is a small
file containing a declaration of trust.
First you see the certificate you have downloaded.
You can click on the "Details" tab, to see the contents. The "Thumbprint" value must be
"f3 a5 b9 7b ee 16 cc 72 09 3c 3e 55 27 6a e4 4d a2 82 a8 34" for it to be authentic.
Click Install.
Click Next.
Click Next.
Click Finish.
And now all future encounters with Eionet certified services are
automatically trusted.
