Dear National focal point,
We would now like to invite your comments on the assessments made for the indicators in the EEA core set (CSI) before we publish these assessments on the EEA web site.
You are asked to comment on the key message, the assessment text and the graphics based on the underlying data. Please comment on the content only. We plan to improve the format and layout later.
The indicators¹ are available at: http://ims.eionet.eu.int/IMS/csireview/0506/ (best viewed using Internet Explorer).
The deadline for comments is 22 July 2005.
We would like to clarify that we are for the first time using the Indicator management service (IMS) to continue the long-standing practice of sending indicator factsheets to our Eionet partners for comments before publication. We therefore now welcome you to deliver your comments directly into the IMS.
Your comments will be processed in a short period following the deadline. The indicators will then be published on EEA website during August. Feedback on how the comments from this review have been taken into account will be made available to Eionet through IMS.
As you already know from the May NFP/Eionet meeting and subsequent email from Jock Martin, selected information from the core set of indicators will be used in the State and Outlook Report 2005. For each indicator a standardised 4-page text will be prepared by EEA in the coming months. For clarification, this consultation concerns the complete assessment as presented in the IMS. When your comments have been taken into account the 4-page texts will be finalised.
Yours sincerely,
Sheila Cryan and Sigfús Bjarnason
