The European Environment Agency has just launched a new web service called EnviroExperts. This new service is designed to elicit communication between environmental experts and the public but also among the experts themselves.

EnviroExperts is a Questions and Answers service. A visitor with questions browses the categories to find an expert with just the right expertise and who speaks the same language. The enquirer posts a question. The expert gets an email notifying him about the new question. He then answers it by filling out a form on the EnviroExperts website. The enquirer is then notified that the answer is ready to be read on the website. The enquirer then rates the answer according to how well it solved the problem.

This service relies on your expertise in environmental matters to help others. Enrol as an expert at http://experts.eionet.eu.int/enviro. You alone decide how many questions you want to receive per day, and how much you will tell about yourself.

How to enrol

When you enrol to http://experts.eionet.eu.int/enviro/Experts/editExpert you will be asked a short series of questions, the most important are; a short description of yourself, the categories you want to be listed in, your email address and the number of questions you accept to receive per day. After that, you get email notifications when someone submits a question.

We accept all levels of experts. And if you know someone, who might be interested in helping the community of enviromental experts, then please tell them.
