ROD2 renamed to ROD
Released on 2002-10-02ROD is a part of Reportnet architecture describing the legal basis for collecting environmental information from countries and showing how the legislative acts have been interpreted into "reporting obligations" meaning:
what the countries need to deliver, to whom, in what format, when and how frequently.
Until today, we had two ROD databases. The old rod.eionet.eu.int with limited functionality but containing correct information, and the new ROD2.
After a month of cleanup, thanks to Adriaan Minderhoud, we can now finally expire the old ROD and make ROD2 (a.k.a. WorkshopROD) the official one. ROD2 previously lived on the name rod2.eionet.eu.int. It will still do so for a while, but the new official name is now http://rod.eionet.eu.int.
