This report was prepared for the experts who produced the EU assessments of conservation status from the Member State reports for the reporting period 2007-12. It describes the methods used and explains how to choose the appropriate method for a given assessment. The report also describes how each assessment was classified for its contribu5on to progress towards Target 1 of the EU 2020 Biodiversity Strategy.
