Background document to the EURECA spotmeter on Peak Performance Alpine ecosystems under pressure - ETC/BD Working paper N°A/2008

In support to the work by the European Environment Agency on a European Ecosystem Assessment (EURECA), a number of topic aras were selected for working group discussions, so –called “spotmeters”. The ETC/BD supported the preparation of these spotmeters through background documents outlining issues to be taken into account for specific ecosystem-types. The present background document was prepared in support to the ‘Spotmeter on peak performance’, related to mountain ecosystem-types.
