Iulian Petchesi

This report compiles evidence from scientific and grey literature as well as experiences and impacts studied at city level. More specifically, this report aims to provide an overview of urban biodiversity focusing on the understanding of urban biodiversity, associated trends and data limitations. It is illustrated with relevant examples and practices regarding urban planning and urban management (green infrastructure development) at national and local levels. And it provides an overview of existing data sets on biodiversity that can be used for spatial analysis of urban and peri-urban areas.
